Here are three recipes that you can easily make at home to keep your hands looking and feeling great all winter long.
Here is a quick and easy treatment using avocado that would work wonders on the driest of hands. The coconut or almond oil can also work wonders on their own as a nice alternative to traditional moisturizers and lotions.
What You’ll Need:
1 small avocado
1 tsp glycerin
1 tsp coconut oil/almond oil
What To Do:
Using the back of a spoon, scoop out the entire contents of the avocado and mash it in a bowl. (Pop it in the microwave for ten seconds if it’s not soft enough)
Add the glycerin and coconut oil and mix together until it’s a smooth, creamy paste.
Apply to your hands and wrap them in a warm towel for at least fifteen minutes.
Rinse them off for softer skin that’s ready for to take on any winter day!
Another great suggestion is to always wear rubber gloves when doing the dishes. Dish-washing liquid is very harsh and will leave your hands really dry. Here is another natural skin care tip for dry hands: rub a few drops of fresh lemon juice into your hands couple times a day. The vitamin C in it will work wonders for your skin and cuticles.
